Meet Dr. Matthew Blanchong: Your Veterinary Hospice Specialist
Where it all began…
Dr. Matthew Blanchong was born and raised in Ohio. He attended the Ohio State University School of Veterinary Medicine, and has focused his career on critical and compassionate care ever since. Following graduation, he has worked exclusively in emergency and critical care medicine, completing a residency in the field before blending his skills in the ER and ICU with hospice care.
A Focus on Quality of Life
Dr. Blanchong has worked in ECC medicine since, and it was there that he recognized a profound need for high-quality, continuous, and compassionate end-of-life care outside of the hospital setting. He saw pets and their families face unnecessary stress during what should be their most peaceful time together.
Dr. Matthew Blanchong has dedicated the last 4 years to providing Hospice care, recognizing that a pet’s comfort and dignity should be the final priority. His approach combines the advanced pain management and physiological expertise of critical care with the gentle, personalized attention required for quality-of-life support at home.
